Finally…. spring is in the air, the world is opening up, and things suddenly seem a whole lot better. At least, that’s how we’re feeling here at Scottish Window Solutions.
Of course, it’s been a tough year. It really has. But despite lockdown, we’ve been hard at it.
Confined to barracks in the first few months, we used the time to upgrade our office, reposition the showroom and update our IT systems. We also put robust Covid measures in place for the return to work in July.
As soon as everyone was back, we got going on two local building projects. First the refurbishment of a local nursery then a kitchen/garden extension with wheelchair access.
September saw us off on a highland “steel window” jaunt, that took in Clacknaharry, Tongue and Orkney.
We installed dormer steel windows in a beautiful little cottage on the Caledonian Canal. Completed a post installation quality control check of steel windows and doors in the Tongue Steadings. And completed our spec for the new visitor centre on Scapa Flow in Orkney. All great projects.
Since then, we’ve kicked off a whole number of new projects. Including Art Deco Steel doors in the Daldowie Crematorium. Plus a big sash and case job with “Sarah Beeny” windows on a Stirling farmhouse. (She’s endorsed Bygone’s amazing PVCu Collection).
As if that’s not enough, we’ve got another two major projects on the go. One in Edinburgh. And one in the Highlands. One in steel. The other in aluminium. Both very exciting. Right now, we’re sworn to secrecy. But we’ll be back soon with an update and some fabulous pics. So watch this space.
In the meantime, stay safe. And please get in touch with all things windows, doors or screens!😊
